Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were like ovens overnight, making it uncomfortable to sleep with the window open. Despite this, the rooms were bright and comfortable, but a bit challenging to navigate during busy breakfast times. The service was a mix of annoying behavior during breakfast cleaning but they promptly resolved any issues that arose. The location was surrounded by well-maintained plants and trees, ideal for our requirements, but additional charges for jacuzzi and steam rooms were considered ridiculous. The dining experience ranged from uninspiring and overpriced to arguably the best meals in a hotel. However, the price for breakfast was a disappointment given the limited choices.
The hotel is set in a lovely, peaceful location with amazing shops and architecture, just a short drive from Leeds. While the rooms had all the essentials and were relatively clean, their size could be improved. The service, though polite and helpful overall, had a mix-up with our treatments that left one person in our group without a complete session. The dining experience at breakfast was met with inconvenience rather than a warm welcome, with some of the items lacking flavor. The tranquil garden setting and proximity to Oakwell Hall were definite highlights of the location.
The hotel was like a maze finding our room but was good-clean and well furnished with everything we needed. It was too hot and couldn't open the window, but the room was a good size and had all we needed for our stay.
